Apprentice Technicians

Position:                      Apprentice Technicians

Location:                     Chippenham

Reporting to:              Production Manager

Wavin Limited currently have opportunities for 10 Apprentices to be based at their site in Chippenham. This exciting opportunity will entail successful individuals being enrolled in a 3-year apprenticeship scheme involving on and off the job training, resulting in a professionally recognised standard of working. At the end of the Apprentice program, apprentices will receive a Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Tool fitting or Polymer Technology. As an Apprentice Technician, you will:

– Undergo extensive training with a focus on individual specialisms. – Be trained to set up, operate and work on a range of processing equipment. – Attend structured lectures to attain the Level 2 Diploma. – Assist the production team in various aspects of the manufacturing processing.

Candidates will ideally have good GCSE results in Maths, English and the Sciences and be able to demonstrate understanding of Health & Safety at work. With an aptitude in mechanical or electrical work, candidates will be eager to learn various aspects of manufacturing process.
