Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting

A level 4 apprenticeship which takes approximately 18 months to complete on a day release basis. This apprenticeship is suitable for those working as Accounting Technicians/support staff in accountancy and finance functions and is divided into six units:

  • Financial Performance – Cost accounting managing costs, measuring performance etc.
  • Prep of forecasts, budgets, budgetary control etc.
  • Internal control – A thesis identifying weaknesses and making recommendations
  • Financial Statements – Company accounts, cash flow statements, IAS, business takeovers etc.
  • Credit Management and Control
  • Personal Taxation – Income from property, employment, Capital Gains etc.

The Apprenticeship is open to those aged 16+ in suitable employment who have completed the Intermediate Stage Level 3 Diploma and have GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C in English and Maths.

Finance

Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

  • (R01) Financial services, regulation and ethics: £880
  • (R02) Investment principles and risk: £990
  • (R03) Personal taxation: £880
  • (R04) Pensions and retirement planning: £880
  • (R05) Financial protection: £660
  • (R06) Financial planning practice: £660
